Raw Turquoise Stone

raw torquoise stone

Deep in the heart of an ancient forest, a raw turquoise stone lay hidden beneath the earth, dreaming of the sky’s endless blue. Not far away, a burl—a rare, knotted growth on an old oak—whispered to the wind, longing for a purpose beyond its gnarled form.

One stormy night, lightning struck the oak, splitting its burl and sending it tumbling down a hillside, where it came to rest beside the turquoise. As the rain washed over them, the two spoke of their dreams—one of freedom, the other of meaning.

A wandering artisan, drawn by the glimmering stone and the burl’s intricate patterns, saw their beauty intertwined. With gentle hands, he carved the wood to cradle the turquoise, shaping them into a pendant unlike any other.

What is the meaning of  Turquoise?
Among Native American cultures, turquoise is revered as a sacred stone, representing the essence of the sky and sea. In ancient Egypt, it was a symbol of fertility and protection, gracing the adornments of pharaohs and queens.

I was very pleased with this simple but striking wooden egg. The darker markings provided depth. I will check this site to consider a future purchase.
