Tiger And Tree Dance

Each spring, when the earth awakened from its icy slumber, the tiger returned to the old masur birch. His great striped body, sleek with strength, pressed against the tree’s knotted bark, marking his presence upon the land. He lent the birch his power, the deep growl of his breath resonating through its roots, and in return, the tree gifted him solace—whispering through its leaves a melody only the tiger could hear. And so, year after year, they danced, their slow eternal waltz beneath the sun and the moon, bound by the rhythm of seasons and silence of understanding.

Decades passed like the drifting petals of spring, and still, the tiger came. But one year, when the snows melted and the rivers swelled, the birch stood alone. No golden beast emerged from the forest’s shadow, no warm breath caressed its ancient bark. The wind carried the absence, and the birch’s roots curled deeper into the earth, reaching for something lost. The tiger had gone, his pawprints fading, his song silenced.

Yet memory lingers where bodies do not. The tree remembered. It remembered the gleam of amber eyes that burned like the dawn, the weight of a powerful body leaning into its skin, the low reverberation of breath, the silent promise of return. And deep within, the birch held its keeper close. Over the years, in the quiet chambers of its heartwood, the tiger’s gaze crystallized—golden, untamed, and eternal. A tiger eye stone was born, buried in the birch’s depths, pulsing with a forgotten dance.

One day, a traveler came, seeking a talisman for strength and wisdom. Drawn to the whisper of the old birch, he placed his hands upon its weathered trunk, feeling the echoes of something sacred. With reverence, he carved from its heart the gleaming stone, fashioning from it an amulet, unaware that within its golden depths, the tiger and the tree still danced—their eternal waltz unbroken, their spirits entwined forever in the silent rhythm of time.
