As a company, our dedication lies in promoting sustainable woodworking to ensure that individuals can relish top-notch wooden bowls, boards, and more for many generations to come. Our primary focus is on mitigating our environmental impact by adopting meticulous measures such as responsibly sourcing trees, minimizing wood waste production, and committing to plant one tree for every tree utilized annually. Through these actions, we aim to neutralize our impact on the environment while simultaneously diminishing our carbon footprint.
Every job starts with planning. You have to find the most suitable Karelian Birch blank to shape the desired detail. The wood chosen for use must be dense and have a beautiful grain pattern.
A log house where a workshop has been established was built in 1924. The founder of the workshop was Oswald Laanelind, who was a shoemaker.
For nearly 70 years during the occupation, the workshop was used as a warehouse. In 2018, a revival took place. The 100-year-old space was given a new life. We created the Warenoff brand and started creating something unique and unparalleled from Karelian birch, which had grown in our own surroundings.
For over 30 years, we have consistently been creating new Karelian birch plantations. All the wood we use is sourced from these plantations and follows sustainable principles.
The crisp nature of the Karelian Birch burl wood was a perfect complement to the Northern European climate, and it was a favorite among the locals. The workshop quickly became known for its exceptional craftsmanship and the use of the highest-quality materials.
