In the heart of Estonia’s ancient northern forests, where the whispering birches stood tall, Karl Warenoff built a humble cobbler’s workshop in 1924.

With hands as steady as the northern winds, he crafted shoes and boots, each pair infused with the soul of the wild woods. He worked tirelessly until his final breath, and when he was gone, silence settled over the workshop like a forgotten spell.
For years, the doors remained shut, the tools gathering dust, until in 2018, Karls’s grandson, Krister, reignited the flame. But Krister’s passion lay not in leather, but in the enchanting beauty of Masur Birch Burl Wood. Having honed his craft for decades, he transformed the workshop into a haven of artistry. Under the name Warenoff, he wove magic into wood, blending shimmering semi-precious stones with the swirling grain of Masur birch, creating breathtaking jewelry fit for woodland royalty.
Legends say the spirit of Karl watches over him, smiling at the artistry reborn, the workshop’s heart beating once more in the rhythm of the ancient forest.

For over 30 years, we have consistently been creating new Karelian birch plantations. All the wood we use is sourced from these plantations and follows sustainable principles.
The crisp nature of the Karelian Birch burl wood was a perfect complement to the Northern European climate, and it was a favorite among the locals. The workshop quickly became known for its exceptional craftsmanship and the use of the highest-quality materials.
