The Lost Treasure of Ragnar

In the 17th century, a fearless Nordic seafarer named Ragnar set sail from his homeland, his ship laden with the rare and precious “Northern Gold”—Curly Birch wood.

He sought distant shores, hoping to exchange his prized cargo for exotic goods. His journey took him to the sun-drenched island of Milos, in Greece, where he met a skilled trader who marveled at the intricate beauty of the golden-veined wood. In return, Ragnar received a strikingly beautiful volcanic stone—raw obsidian, dark as the midnight sea.

As his ship cut through the waves of the Mediterranean, a fierce storm arose. The heavens roared, and the sea turned against him. Towering waves crashed upon the vessel, and despite the crew’s valiant efforts, the ship succumbed to the fury of the storm, disappearing beneath the waves.

For centuries, the legend of Ragnar and his lost treasure was whispered among sailors and storytellers. Many searched for his ill-fated ship, but none succeeded—until one fateful day. A daring diver, exploring an ancient wreck deep beneath the Mediterranean, stumbled upon a tattered leather pouch hidden within the remains of a wooden chest. Inside lay two relics of the past: a smooth, midnight-black raw obsidian stone and a small, yet perfectly preserved, piece of Curly Birch wood.

The artifacts found their way into the hands of Karl Warenoff, a master wood jeweler known for blending nature’s wonders into exquisite adornments. Inspired by the journey of the lost sailor, Karl carefully crafted a breathtaking necklace, intertwining the rich warmth of the Northern Gold with the enigmatic darkness of the volcanic stone. The piece shimmered with history, bearing the spirit of adventure, trade, and the enduring bond between the lands Ragnar had once traveled.

The legend lived on—not just in stories, but around the neck of one who wore the timeless beauty of the lost treasure of Ragnar
